It's Beautiful and so Cool here!

Hi,Family and Friends, Below are some pictures of Jake and Heather's home. It is a very pretty duplex with a full basement underground (which I do envy all of the storage, a first floor with the living room, dining room, kitchen, huge walk-in pantry, and 1/2 bath. The upper floor has 2 bedrooms, an office and full bath. The windows on the side of the house are the bedroom windows. We left Volkach for Garmisch and the Edelweiss Resort which is owned by the U.S. Army. It is a retreat set in The Alps. This resort has a casino, shops, bar, pool, jacuzzi, spa, restaurants, and lots of excursions that can be booked by the brave! You know that I am not one of the brave! SO, Heather and Jake booked all of us on one of those gondolas to the top of Germany's highest peak...over 9700 ft!(over 2000 meters. I may get the vapors! If I survive that tomorrow, then we are going to Hitler's Berchtesgaden Eagle's Nest on a high peak in the middle of the German/Austrian Alps. I'm really excited about that one...After seeing the mini series: The Band of Brothers, which showed the Eagle's Nest,I've had a "hankering" to see it. Then we are to go to The Neuschwanstein Castle that Walt Disney copied for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. Not sure what else has been added to the sight seeing list, but I know they probably have something else up their sleeves to scare me with! I added some pictures of the resort, the view from our room window andthe mountains with the peaks hidden in the clouds above. I have a feeling that Hansel and Gretel will appear at any time! Carolyn...we do feel like the Griswolds! What else can happen to us....By the way, we got the word that our bags are in Frankfurt (who knows if that is true???)! We are here, they are there and we will not see them until we put Steve back on the plane to Houston on Saturday!!! At least he will have clean clothes when he arrives home! I on the other hand will appear in many pictures with the same clothes on this week....sorry folks! It's almost midnight so I'd better close and get some sleep before my heart stopping adventure tomorrow. She was entering the restroom here at the resort and I was going out..She looked at me and smiled and turned away...I said Jodi, what are you doing? She turned and screamed! We laughed so har...wish I would have thought to get a picture with her1 Small world!
