Goodbye Europe

This is my final European Whirl Post...One month has gone by since I started and what a full/fast 4 weeks it has been! I have had a blast, but all good things must end.
Heather joined me in Paris on Thursday and "we did the sights" of Paris: The Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysee, The Louvre, Notre Dame, AND Disneyland Paris!!! We had a blast eating croissants, drinking hot chocolat, and walking walking walking! Disney was so much fun. We started with a Mickey croissant filled with Nutella! The roller coaster scared the beejeezees out of me...I still hate loops! The Small World ride was great...a classic! What can I say...I do love Disney Parks!
Sunday morning, after riswing at 3:15, we caught the airport shuttle for Charles de Gaulle Airport departure...Heather flew off for home....Germany and I sstarted my adventure for hoe via New York....I arrived at Housston's airport at 5:30 p.m. with Steve waiting to pick me up...It was so good to see him again. He took me out to dinner....RIBS....which I hadn't seen for weeks! Then, Home to see me kitty, E.V.. Home in Spring, Tx...7:30 p.m.! So ends the saga and I hope you enjoyed my vacation with me...Goodbye, Friends...love, Deb

Paris

Bonjour Mes amis or something like that. I'm back, but this time in Paris. I actually posted more pictures, but only 2 at a time would show up! Technology! UGH!
Heather flew in today from Frankfurt and we hit the road on foot again. We went to the Eiffel Tower and then to the Arch de Triomph (It's late and i am not going to correct my spelling! Ha!) Napolean had it built in 1806 for the soldiers to pass thru when returning from war. It is the site of their tomb of the unknown soldier. We walked down the champs elyssee a street know for it's very expensive stores...Louis Vitton, etc... No I did not buy anything! Darn! Afterwards, we found a sidewalk cafe for dinner and enjoyed the tower lights at night. Tomorrow, we are joining a walking tour of Paris...did I say walking? No, not again! 3 1/2 hours today almost killed us! We are then going on a Seine River cruise with our croissants and whatever we find that looks good...perhaps, ice cream?yum! Paris never sleeps, but I'm not Paris and I'm going to bed! Bon Nuit (goodnight) and au revoir! love, Deb

Lucerne, Switzerland

Lucerne, Switzerland

Spent the day catching up on my laundry, shopping, and looking out my window at Lake Lucerne. Everyone has been gone since 7:45 this morning on the extra excursions...no high mountains for me!I repacked my suitcase for the 7th time to get ready for our departure to Paris in the morning at 6:30. That's my last city and then it's HOME! yea! Been gone too long and I'm homesick!Must admit, I had a great time, but I'm ready to get back to family, friends, cat, and my house...no more suitcases! I'm going to post some pictures nof things I saw this morning. One is a picture of a covered wooden bridge with flower boxes on the outside. I walked across it! I took pictures of a lion sculpted in the side of a rock hill, the lake outside my window, and just lots of bldgs and STUFF! Hope you enjoy them! See you in Paris! love, Deb
