On Top of the World

I'm alive!!!! Thought I was going to die there for a while. I do hate heights! I've been asking myself over and over again if I thought it was possible for me to go up on the London Eye ferris wheel. I got my answer today...Hell No!I saw most of the trip up in the tram to Zugspitze, the highest peek in Germany (almost 10,000 ft)by looking under Jake's armpit!!The view at the top was spectacular. There were people sledding on the snow pack, hikers, and those of us just sightseeing...mostly, Steve, Jake and Heather. I wouldn't go near the edge! The little church on the top was really sweet. Someone was sitting on the front steps of the church playing his guitar and singing. We were looking down onto the tops of other high peaks in The
German and Austrian Alps...Quite a sight. There was a glacier lake below that Steve took pictures of as we ascended. After going back down, We all went to that lake to wade. There were boat rentals, people sunbathing and swimming. One cafe was selling these gross whole fish roasting over coals. Peole were buying them to walk around and snack on! YUK! Then, we did some shopping. Jake and Steve bought their German hats with feathers on the sides! Glad they didn't get the Leiderhosen to go with them! Tomorrow is The Eagle's Nest trip...I'll let you know how that goes...hope it doesn't involve some really high mountains again...my heart can't stand the stress! Ha! Oh, yeah, I ran into my Spring, Tx. friend, Jodi, again....Had to get a picture made with her which is posted here...No one will ever believe it! Love you all, until manana, Deb
